Well, look who’s back?
- 3 Sept 2019
Some of our favourite Blockheads are back this week, lending a hand to our couples as they complete Guest Bedroom week. We find out what they’ve been up to in the years since their last Block appearance…
What a bunch of legends! These guys have completed many rooms between them and sure won some money over the years on The Block.
Dea and Darren: Glasshouse (2014) and Triple Threat (2015)
Dea and Daz still hold the record for the most money EVER won on The Block - an amazing $935,000! Since their last appearance on the show in 2015, Daz has got his builder’s license, they’ve sold their amazing Kew East property (for a rumoured $2.908 million) and embarked on a renovation of their Mornington Peninsula home. They also offer their interior/building services to private clients.
Alisa and Lysandra: Sky High (2013) and Fans V Faves (2014)
When they first competed on the show in 2013, twins Alisa and Lysandra were a pair of South Australian cops! After the show finished, they turned in their badges and embarked on careers as successful interior designers, before competing on the show again the following year. They are now two of The Block’s biggest success stories and have a massive portfolio of homes/businesses they’ve styled. They recently bought and renovated a gorgeous Victorian home in Melbourne’s ritzy Albert Park. Read more here
Ronnie and Georgia: The Block 2017
After their successful stint renovating in Elsternwick, the talented couple from Perth were signed to Channel Nine. They are in the process of renovating their new family home, and also recently filmed their first project for the network, Quick Room Flips With Ronnie & Georgia. The couple are still based in Perth but regularly travel nationally with their myriad work and business side-hustles.
Josh and Elyse: The Block 2017
The easy-going couple made out like bandits, winning The Block in 2017, and taking home a whopping $547,000. Since then, they’ve continued to renovate, and while Elyse is still modelling (she is the face of retail giant, Myer), she is gradually increasing the amount of time she spends on her renovating business with Josh, J&E Projects. Last year the laid-back twosome upped stumps from Melbourne and moved permanently to Byron Bay.
Josh and Jenna: The Block Richmond, 2011 and All-Stars 2013
Josh and Jenna are two of The Block’s biggest success stories. After competing twice in the show - once during the Richmond renovations, then in an All-Stars series in Bondi - the couple decided to focus their attention on renovating full time. Jenna is now a fully qualified interior designer and started the popular Design School course in Melbourne. The couple work for private clients and are also in the process of completing their family home in Melbourne, which they’ve built from the ground-up. They are also expecting their second child, due in the next six months.
