Hayden had better watch his back - our Blockheads have him in their sights this week. And even Sara’s had enough...
He’s one half of this year’s feistiest duo, creating controversy for his ‘take no prisoners’ attitude and drive to win big. But this week Hayden got more than just his rival competitors offside - he’s also annoyed wife, Sara!
And if we’ve learnt anything in this competition, it’s that this is the LAST thing anyone wants - ever!
Hayden’s problems started over a pile of plaster sheets that needed to be taken upstairs. All teams were on hand to save costs on trades, and to get those sheets upstairs as quickly as possible.
Everyone - except Hayden. Cue accusations of laziness.
It wasn’t long before his lack of help started rubbing people the wrong way - especially normally level-headed Hans.
“We need help here,” he said to Sara, who then leapt to her husband’s defence.
“You’d think being a pilot, he’d know all about teamwork,” she said. “Here I am working as a team, so we can reduce costs. And all you do is swindle them down the toilet.”
Ouch.
But Hans might have a point. Even Keith noticed that while everyone else was ‘all hands on deck’, Hayden seemed more content to oversee his trades than muck in with everyone else downstairs.
“He seems to be up there worrying about his tradesmen,” he commented.
Even Jess - normally so quick to play happy families - couldn’t help having a dig at Sara’s blow-up.
“I respect that she will stand up for her husband no matter what, but I knew deep down that she knew he was just being a lazy *bleep*", she said.
In the end it all got a bit much, and Sara had a word. Needless to say, it was enough to get her hubby downstairs and lending a hand. But Sara’s still not happy with Hans.
“I’d say it doesn’t matter, and I’ll never see him again - but I fly with him,” the flight attended admitted.
Um, something tells us there could be turbulence ahead for these two high-flyers. Time to bury the hatchet, guys!
