With a distinctive, muted colour palette of cool grey undertones, this Indigenous Aboriginal artwork uses traditional dot painting for a uniform look and feel.

Horizontal lines are broken up by lighter coloured holes, giving an effect of movement, like clouds passing through a rainy sky.

Represented within this piece is a Wiradyuri sunrise on the bank of the Murrumbidgee River- the river running through my Country, and one of my most cherished places.

It reflects the swiftness of the water, moving quickly yet calmly downstream towards the Wiradyuri reserve.

The droplets of water falling from my face and hair upon a morning swim, managing still to reflect the soft hues as the sky takes her colour for the day, warmed and filled by Grandmother Sun.
