Sammy Ann is an Melbourne artist and creative. Her intuitive paintings are a unique take on traditional seascapes. They blend together her own artistic imaginings with endless beauty of the sea. In her larger pieces she use a fusion of soft layers and swirling, etheral, marks to evoke depth within her work, drawing inspiration from the ocean currents, tide and the interplay of light on water. Her smaller pieces are a study of the ocean creatures and patterns that dwell beneath the waves. They are inspired by her time spent snorkelling, diving and paddle boarding on the water.
