Ronnie and Georgia’s light and bright kitchen evokes a Classic meets Contemporary feel, inspired by a neutral colour palette of white, marble and timber. The pair selected Kinsman’s Camden door Profile in Oyster Grey Matt, Chadstone Prime Oak Woodmatt feature open shelves, and Kinsman’s new Otto Antique Brass Bar handles. Marble-look Caesarstone® Statuario Maximus has been used for both the benchtops and splashbacks, bringing the look together.
“We’ve designed a sophisticated, well-appointed family kitchen, which is definitely the hero of our home, says Georgia. The key to good design is cohesion and consistency, so whilst our kitchen stands out as the hero, it’s also very complementary to the remainder of our home, which you see through the neutral palette with luxe inclusions.”
The design was inspired heavily on catering to a family, which is reflected in the generous amount of storage within cabinets and drawers throughout, the inclusion of a Butler’s Pantry, a servery window bench, and a great island design, which provides the perfect gathering point in the room.
Within the cabinetry, storage accessories such as a LeMans Corner Pull Out System, Cross Wire Rails for Pot Drawers, Internal Drawers, and a Ninka Bin ensure that the kitchen is highly functional. A selection of NEFF appliances, as well as a refrigerator by Gaggenau, ensure that any home cook would be thrilled to work within the space.
The inclusion of a butler’s pantry allows for plentiful storage, additional dishwasher, sink, and tap. Open shelving in Chadstone Prime Oak Woodmatt enables pantry staples to be put on display for easy access and provides styling opportunities.
“Functionality is key when it comes to designing kitchens. We spent considerable time planning certain elements of our kitchen to create a very functional and user-friendly kitchen, says Georgia. Of course, it was also important that our kitchen looked beautiful! It’s a well-known fact that kitchens sell houses, so it was essential we got this space right!’
