The ground in which we walk is layered underneath, with stories, history and happenings. This piece reflects the layers of Country we walk on and the thousands of years of history that is below us. We are connected to Mother Earth and we rely on her to provide for us.
This piece shows the layers of Country and the complexities below us. The rich red hues and the soft yellows and sands that have once been above.
Represented within this piece is the layering of life and the stories Mother Earth holds sacred, from the people who have come before us.
ARTIST STORY
Born on Wiradjuri Land in Wagga Wagga, Amanda is an exceptionally passionate and talented Aboriginal artist who has been creating breathtaking original artworks from her studio under the moniker ‘Because of my Four’ for many years now. Amanda’s artworks share stories of resilience, strength, and the power of women. She draws inspiration from her hometown of Wagga Wagga, her family, and the Dreamtime - displaying Aboriginal culture and storytelling in her own contemporary Aboriginal art style, developed through impatience, intuition, and an innate desire to create at all costs.
Urban Road's Framed Paper Prints are museum-quality giclee printed using archival inks and paper resulting in beautiful prints with no fading. Available in multiple sizes, in either black, white, or oak finish, with a choice of matboard or no matboard. Professionally mounted on foam-core to prevent rippling and warping, behind museum-grade plexiglass, within a quality moulding. The frame profile measures 30mm wide and 45mm deep and comes ready to hang. Please be aware that our timber frames are a natural product, and as a result, there may be slight variations in colour and grain between products of the same kind.
