Sophie Taggart
Sophie Taggart's artworks seem to almost hum. In every canvas, she imprints a particular feeling which uplifts the viewer in a specific way. Splashed with colour, the large scale pieces are created using an unusual technique that is less brushstroke, more embodiment.
"Energy is the very essence of our world," Sophie says. "I believe energy art can shift us in ways we can't imagine." The artist works deeply by channelling her energy and intention into each piece - starting every artwork by writing on the canvas with the words she wants it to hold. Owners of her work adamantly say Sophie’s art changes the frequency of the room they adorn, seemingly washing the viewer with a certain type of feeling.
