Ron has been indulging his passion for photography for over 40 years. He started at an early age when he cut his teeth helping his father develop black & white photographs in the laundry of their suburban home.
While working in France in 1996 he met his wife Rachel. They now live in Sydney with their daughter Eliza.
Ron has collaborated with two renowned chefs to publish two cook books.
Latitude 36.50, by French chef Jean-Michel Gerst, with recipes inspired by the Australian Alps, and landscape photography by Ron.
Two Weeks in the Lodge, by Jake & Olivia Warwick, with food and landscape photography by Ron, is filled with recipes for the fantastic dishes they served during their time at Boali Ski Lodge in Thredbo.
His latest project, Spectolumen, is a collaboration with artist Andrew "Grassi" Kelher, which brings together painting, photography and digital media, in one piece of contemporary art.
Ron's photographs have hung in the Museum of Sydney, appeared in The Sydney Morning Herald, and as cover shots in the Canberra Times and The Snowy Times. His images are also used to promote the Thredbo region of NSW. Ron’s work has been used by Tourism NSW, and can also be found hanging in the homes of some of Australia’s most prominent individuals.
