baresop
we’re fixing the hand and body soap industry
since time immemorial (well, for the last 60 or so years), our shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and home cleaning products have been sold in disposable plastic bottles
today, we’re facing a plastics crisis, and more and more rubbish is ending up where it quite frankly shouldn’t. our oceans, sea life and climate are bearing the brunt of our plastic-driven way of life, and we’re even starting to see microplastics creep into our food system.
we want to make it easy for you to fix that.
a couple of years ago, frustrated to find an easy solution to reduce her plastic waste in body care products, Prisca went on a personal journey to find out why there were no simple and easy to use solutions.
after many trials and having real conversations with the Australian community, she found out that the solution needs to be convenient, easy and economical.
asking the question, do these products necessarily need to come in liquid form? Prisca spent almost a year in search of an answer and was surprised to discover that water content in body care products make it necessary for them to be packaged in single use packaging.
Prisca then went on a two-year journey to find a way to cut out the water. the result is a plant-based hand and body powder concentrate delivered in a certified home compostable sachet.
and so, combining a zero-waste solution that’s better for you and the planet, baresop. was born.
baresop. is a modern day zero waste personal care startup that keeps your body clean – and your conscience too.
baresop. products are Australian made with plant-derived ingredients, are vegan, palm oil and cruelty-free, and all packaging is made from recycled waste that’s either recyclable or home compostable. plus, the fact that we use a concentrate concept means that we cut a huge percentage of carbon emission from making, transporting and storing our products.
