Our beautiful Curved-Edge Shelf is hand crafted out of Victorian Ash Timber and genuine high-quality leather. It features a rounded over edge on both the front and back of the shelf. Each shelf also includes beautiful brass screws and cup washers in addition to plaster wall mounts for easy fastening to any plastered wall surface.

Leather strap colour options:

Brown, Natural Tan and Black. The final photo shows the leather colours of Brown, Natural Tan and Black.

*Please note the Natural Tan is a vegetable tanned leather so it will gradually darken over time when exposed to light.

Finish options:

There are three finish options available; Hardwax Oil in Rich Brown, Raw or Satin. Photos in this listing are of the Raw finish. Raw finished products are the timber in its natural state. We don't apply any coatings to the timber, rather it is sanded to 240grit creating a very smooth surface to touch. As it is chemical free and environmentally friendly, we often use this finish for nursery products or children's room furniture. We do not recommend selecting a raw finish for items that will be exposed to moisture. Satin 2 Pack is the most durable of the finishes we offer. The Satin finish will slightly darken the timber as well as bring out the features in the grain more. If your item is going to be exposed to moisture in any way, we would recommend selecting this finish option as it seals the timber well and provides some water resistance.

Please note, we use a high quality natural Leather. As it is a natural material, there will be slight differences to the colour and appearance to the leather. If it is exposed to light the natural coloured leather will also darken with age. We recommend storing the leather out of direct sunlight until ready for use to avoid uneven tanning of the leather. Please note that all our timber is hand selected for each shelf, however as Victorian Ash timber is a natural material it will vary in both colour and grain to the photos above. Features of Victorian Ash include fiddleback markings and visible gum veins. The timber may also range from a pale straw colour to a slight pink tone to a golden hue. As with all natural materials, Victorian Ash is affected by light and overtime the character and colour will change slightly. These natural features are a unique and beautiful characteristic of the timber. Please also keep in mind timber can expand and contract due to varying temperature and environmental conditions in your home.
