Buwaarrbugany (Childlike)
This artwork show pieces of my childhood and encapsulates growing up a Goori girl on Country. It depicts pippies, which we used to gather from the sand and cook up and eat; oysters we shucked off the rocks by hand and ate fresh; pig face bush tucker plant (flower) we used to collect and snack on; family gatherings where we would yarn and tell stories; and our elders’ wisdom and warm hugs & cheeky torments.
