The inspiration for my spotted gum came when I was admiring its overlapping patterns of spots that seem to interconnect organic shapes, almost suggesting pieces of a puzzle. The closer I looked, and as I squinted my eyes, the more it looked like a landscape. It became a bigger picture of Australia. My thoughts were absorbed in to the feeling of coming home from travelling abroad, reminding me of an aerial view landscape from a plane that we quietly gaze at as we come in to land. In that quiet moment, we reflect, reconnect, smile and whisper to ourselves, 'I'm home'.

Image size is 45mm less around all sides from the border.
This print is produced from an original painting by Australian landscape artist Simone Read.
The print is embossed stamped with Simone Read's logo for authenticity.
Print is produced on Canson 310gsm photo rag paper with 12 colour pigment ink.
