From top to bottom, Elise & Matt delivered rooms that wowed the judges this week and we can see why! In the garage that full-length original street-style mural by Perth artist Jerome Davenport turned the space into a gallery, in their redo room the rangehood-free kitchen with new pendants and lightbox-artworks showed they had clearly listened to the judges. But it was the rooftop terrace that really won them over. With a firepit to keep the chill away, curved outdoor paving melding into timber-look deck creating separate lounge, BBQ and entertaining areas including subtle luxe touches like reclining sofa this is a space destined to become a well-loved part of the home.
With newcomers Maddy and Charlotte now settled in and budgets starting to bite, The Blockheads had a tough week finishing their master – oops, sorry their *main* bedrooms this week. And from an extraordinary owner’s retreat that left the judges speechless to one that didn’t quite get across the line, it was a mixed bag. So, did the newcomers make an impression?
