My signature style is centred on bold pigment, sensuous application of paint and an all-pervasive sense of joy. Such is the power of a bouquet of blooms.

I am an abstract expressionist, an artist and Director of Gerringong’s Fern Street Gallery. Living on the South Coast of New South Wales, inspiration and beauty surrounds me – from my seaside, light filled studio in Kiama to the abundance of blooms ready and waiting to be painted.

With over two decades as a full-time artist, I have curated a diverse portfolio of works from still life and nature to farmland creatures and beyond. However, it is flowers and the female form that repeatedly draws me in – abstracting my subject with technique, composition and colour. 

Each artwork is unique, intuitive and spontaneous. My creations are constantly unfolding, an instinctive practice that evolves from one mark to the next. I truly enjoy the journey of working with still life – I love that no matter how many times I paint that vase of flowers – a new interpretation evolves, and they end up being uniquely and beautifully different. My work with florals begins beyond the canvas, designing and styling my floral arrangements, looking for blooms with distinctive shapes that will give movement and energy to my work. 

I am bold in my approach – colour is intensified, and texture is accentuated.
