The Secret to Achieving an All Stars Bathroom by Dani Wales

This talented duo has truly made their presence in the design world known with their successful interior design business,Bicker Design. Throughout their time on both series of The Block, the couple received constant praise from the show’s judging panel, viewers and fellow contestants.

In my opinion, one of the best rooms they delivered over both series was their minimalist bathroom featured on The Block All Stars in early 2013. An all white palette of calacatta marble and ceramic mosaic tiles formed the foundation of this elegant yet modernist, family friendly bathroom.

Jenna states, ‘The biggest risk we took was not over-styling our rooms, including the bathroom, and focusing on the hard fixtures and finishes.’ Well those risks paid off in spades for the couple as they sit on top of the leader board for the most room wins in The Blocks history.

With so many beautiful products and features in this bathroom you think it would be hard to pinpoint a focal point, but the simplistic Clearwater Formoso freestanding bath takes pride of place in the centre of the room, instantly drawing your eye and stealing your imagination.

Jenna’s favourite product ‘would have to be the funky crossed tapware’ from Reece, which assists in creating an effortless pared back design. Finishing touches such as the quirky wood turned Molly stool and sculptural Moooi Clusterlamp pendant light are all softened by woven cottonBemboka towels. The overall look oozes confidence but creates a sense of calm and serenity.
