Yep, that’s right - The Block Shop Pop Up Store is officially back and has opened its doors to the public
And while the store has been busily servicing this year’s contestants, providing them with stylish homewares and interior options during filming, it’s now also open to the general public.
The shop is now open to the general public and just around the corner from The Oslo.
The store which is open each week is a perfect little weekend outing or activity for the family. “It’s great, because people can come in and see some of the products in the flesh that they’ve been looking at in our online store or have been featured on The Block” says Store Manager, Danielle, fondly known as Harrie.
Store Manager Harrie "come in and see some of the products in the flesh that they’ve been looking at in our online store or have been featured on The Block."
“You never know which contestant you may run into and you can also pop by and see the outside of the completed Block in Grey St.“
The Block Shop is the brainchild of Sarah Armstrong and Emma Garland who in their roles as Publicist and Social Media Manager for The Block could not keep up with the demand for enquires from viewers wanting to purchase products featured on the Network Nine TV reality show. The Block Shop was originally an online store only. Now The Block Shop has come to life and is a hub for championing local artists and creatives as well as a showroom space for homewares and furniture designers.
The Block Shop is filled with artists and creatives work as well as homewares and furniture.
Amongst the many local artists showcasing their works in-store, there are new artworks from Melbourne artist Jonathan Gemmell currently on display, whose “Sun Goes Down” Rainbow artwork was met with rave reviews after Deb & Andy hung it in their Formal Living Room in Week 2. Many other local artists are featured in-store, including Liam Murphy, Adele Naidoo, Miimi & Jiinda, and Genna Kaye.
The shop is now open on Fitzroy St just around the corner from The Oslo!
