The Block 2025 Auction | Britt & Taz take the win!
- 26 Oct 2025
Auction Day in Daylesford didn’t disappoint; five brand-new builds went under the hammer in what turned out to be one of The Block’s most dramatic finales yet. From joyful wins to gut-wrenching pass-ins, the rollercoaster had it all. And at the centre of it?
Britt and Taz, the police couple from remote WA, who made Block history in more ways than one.
Britt and Taz Set the Tone with a Huge Win House 3 kicked things off with a bang. Bidding for Britt and Taz’s home climbed to $3.41 million, a whopping $420,000 over their reserve, earning them a life-changing $520,000 when combined with their $100,000 prize for taking out the win.The result marks the first time a team from Western Australia has taken out top honours on The Block.“It’s phenomenal to walk away with a reward like this,” Britt said. “It’s our mortgage paid off. But it’s mixed emotions too, we really wanted everyone to walk away a winner.” Taz added, “We had put it on the back burner for the last few years as it was never the right time, but Britt never faltered. She had a vision and she did it.”

Robby and Mat Cash In Thanks to a Familiar Face.
House 5’s Robby and Mat were up next, and welcomed a familiar buyer. Danny Wallis, known for his eccentric bids and regular Block purchases, secured their house for $3,099,000.01. That gave the boys from SA a tidy $109,000.01 profit. Not bad for two mates who didn’t even plan to be on TV this year.

Heartbreak for Em and Ben and Han and Can.
Not every auction ended in celebration. House 1’s Em and Ben saw bidding stall at $2.97 million before a vendor bid of $3.05 million was placed. With no further action, the home was passed in. House 2’s Han and Can met a similar fate, with their auction also passing in after opening at $3.10 million. For both couples, it was a tough pill to swallow. But as Scott Cam pointed out, the houses now return to market, and there’s still time for these hardworking teams to be rewarded.

A Strategic Sale for Sonny and Alicia
Queensland couple Sonny and Alicia, who won the final Room Reveal and scored a $50,000 reduction on their reserve, saw their home in House 4 sell for $3.06 million. That gave them a profit of $120,000, a solid result and a satisfying finish for one of this season’s strongest teams.

The Block Reality: Not All Homes Sell
Host Scott Cam summed it up well: “Today was more realistic of what mums and dads go through when they’re selling their homes. Some are successful, some are not. But we want all our contestants to win.”
Executive Producer Julian Cress added, “Auction Day is hard for all of us. It’s bittersweet, watching two coppers from the Pilbara make half a million dollars is amazing, but it’s tough seeing couples like Emma and Ben, who just had a baby, walk away without a sale.”
What’s Next?
While three teams are celebrating big wins, Houses 1 and 2 now head into post-auction negotiations. We’re crossing our fingers that the right buyers walk through those doors soon, because after 12 weeks of sweat, tears, and tiling, every one of these teams deserves to be rewarded. Until then, we’ll be over here rewatching Britt and Taz’s winning auction (and shopping their
