Room Reveal: Master Bedroom and Walk Ins
The home-owner’s sanctuary, a great master bedroom and walk-in wardrobe can be one of the key selling points for any home.
And as the judges soon discovered, that’s something the Block Treechange contestants took very seriously, turning out high-end luxe master suites that stunned them all.
From spacious dressing areas to reading nooks, cosy comfort pieces and more, every combination was tried to win this ever-important zone.
Sarah-Jane & Tom
28.5 / 30 - First place
With three French doors opening to the wrap-around balcony and a wood-fired heater, this is a room the judges felt embraced the country it sits in, but was its own cosy sanctuary.
“This is a room that hugs you!” said Shaynna as he took in the high ceilings and king-sized bed, “they’ve really thought it through!”. Neale loved the mixed textures, but for Darren it was the scale that won him over – a big bed, big drapes and big mirror TV was all very grand, he thought, with the bone inlay side tables tie in a perfect match for the rattan of the bedhead.

Wow, wow, wow, the Kinsman wardrobes just get better every season! and through those doors is the Master Ensuite!
For people that dont want an unsightly Tv in the Master Bedroom, this Framing to a T mirror TV is just next level amazing and oh so clever!
“they’ve really thought it through!” said Neale, you aren't wrong just look at these details! Oh Hi Mr Jasper Says!

Sharon & Ankur
28 / 30 - Second place
From the beautifully restored original door to antique furniture, a Marie Antoinette portrait and grand bedhead, this was a room that had the judges from the moment they walked in.
“This room says period drama to me!” Neale said, with Shaynna agreeing, pointing out the corbels, archways and even a beautifully framed mirror TV.
The pendant lighting left them wondering – too Deco, perhaps? – and Shaynna pointed out the view through the fireplace takes in the toilet as she feared, but with a huge walk-in that screamed luxury this was, Neale summed up, a crazy mix of eccentrity that worked well.
The framed mirror TV impressed the judges this week.
We are a little obsessed with this colour palette, oh and that artwork, yes please!
The lighting placement above the artwork really does make these pieces pop! Very Clever Sharon and Ankur!
This Kinsman wardrobe is so big and beautiful and in new colour "Bonsai ", it screams country luxe! Also pleased to see The Block Shops Fave arch mirror.

Rachel & Ryan
27.5 / 30 - Third place
“Ooh la la!” said Darren as he rushed in to embrace the stacked stone fireplace, then admire the neutral palette and subtle styling choices he felt combined to create a perfect balance of contemporary and country.
And a perfect walk-in, Neal said when he rolled back the barn door to find what he called “prime real estate for buyers”, a dressing zone divided into separate zones that just works.
With oak finishes and woodgrain surfaces on the wardrobes, Darren said the room not only works alone, but ties in perfectly to the bathroom.

We are loving the use of fireplace's in the master bedroom this year, if you've been to Victoria's Macedon Ranges in winter you will understand why!
The 4 post bed... the grafico wall... the pendant light.....luxe linen..... yes, yes, yes!!! We are loving watching Rachel and Ryan's style evolve.

We love art here, but that texture and bright colour makes our art-y hearts sing! 'Red Velvet" is a limited edition canvas by Theo Papathomas

Jenny & Dylan
25.5 / 30 - Fourth place
Walking straight into the spacious wardrobe – complete with the first dressing table of the day – the judges found themselves admiring the wallpaper, the view, the storage galore and the way this space was unusual, but still made sense.
After wondering again why there’s no door on the bathroom, they headed into the bedroom, and were impressed by the window seat… but not the curtains and wondered if the artwork could have been scaled down.
It’s a room with style they agreed, but does it live up to their earlier successes? Perhaps not.
Dylan and Jenny, the 'tradie couple' know how to execute quality work. The judges said the walk in had "storage galore, and the way this space was unusual, but still made sense."
We say we don't play favourites, but I might be adding that Grafico wall paper to my cart.... AS WE SPEAK!
Talented Block Shop Artist, Jessie Rigby, featured in this Master Bedroom, one of my favourite parts of The Block is discovering amazing artists!
We are really loving all of these different Mirrored TV's this season!
Some more Jessie Rigby magic with two Macedon Ranges inspired artworks. 'Macedon Ranges #1 ' and 'Macedon Ranges Autumna'

Omar & Oz
22.5 / 30 - Fifth Place
With a mini-library reading area in one end and a smaller bed to compensate, the judges found Omar and Oz’s master a confusing space that showed promise, but didn’t quite live up to its potential.
The lack of storage was a real issue for all three, with Shaynna advising they: “Lose the shelves, lose the desk” and Neale adding “there’s too much going on guys!”.
Even Darren, impressed by the carpets, drapery, uplights and doors to the wardrobe that cut off the space to the bathroom, had to admit that this was a room where less would have been more.
These boys have been at the top of the ladder, but this week landed at the bottom of the ladder. You can't tell with those smiles but.

We love the colour palette the boys went with with the artwork setting the tone for the room, the Provincial Homes Bedhead is proving to be popular this season amoungst the treechange.
