Shana Danon

Shana Danon: artist + surface designer at Emilio Frank Design works with bold emotive colour and vibrant modernist style. Paintings, prints and patterns are created with a touch of whimsy with the intention to evoke joyful memories, inspired by her passion for Mid Century design. Growing up in a family of artists nurtured Shana to become a maker and work with colour across a variety of media. She currently enjoys working with acrylics, digital brushes, shibori, ink, screen & block printing. 'Emilio Frank Design' is named in honour of her creative grandfathers, Emil + Frank. Shana endeavours to create locally made, eco friendly products and artworks, using long lasting materials that focus on form, function and design. Referencing the past with a contemporary feel, Shana's work has been featured in local and international exhibitions, with recent collections licensed for wallpaper, fashion, textiles and public art.
